Church of the Annunciation will try to help clients meet basic needs in emergency situations.
We provide emergency assistance with utilities, rent, transportation, & health care.

Services are based on available funds, location, and information gathered.

Location – Kearney-Holt-Lathrop area including zip codes of:
64060, 64048, 64465

Information – It is very important to verify a client’s identification and current address.
Picture identification is preferred. In the absence of a picture ID two alternative forms of identification will be required, such as social security card, Medicaid card, or birth certificate.
Only the person requesting assistance and their immediate family members (if present) will be allowed to be in the room for the initial interview due to privacy reasons.

A MAAC Standard Intake Form is used to gather information. All information is confidential.

    1. Names, dates of birth, and social security numbers of all those in the household.

    2. Monthly budget with income & expenses. Pay stubs for the past month to verify employment info.
        We will discuss your budget and try to find ways to cut back on expenses or increase income.

    3. Description of family’s situation and request for assistance.
