The Church of the Annunciation volunteers each Tuesday to deliver a hot, nutritious meal for lunch to those who may not be able to provide this service for themselves.  Our volunteers pick the meals up at the Liberty Hospital by 11:00am and deliver them to the Kearney area residents.  This service is provided through the Northland Foundation, Inc., Home Delivered Meals Service.  The meals have been allotted only 20 meals to Kearney from Liberty Hospital.  The number of requests for home delivered meals usually exceeds the allotment, therefore, they have reserved the meals for those having the greatest need.  The meals are provided as a convenience, but are reserved for those persons who are ill or disabled; cannot physically prepare a meal for themselves; do not have family or friends who can provide a meal for them.

Contributions to the program can be made through Kearney Commercial Bank, Kearney MO.

If you are interested in volunteering please call the office at 628-5030, extension 100

The eligibility to receive meals is determined by your physician.  The physician's request form can be mailed to you by calling 628-5553.
